- 1. Open bonnet
- 2. Disconnect battery.
- 3. Remove charge air pipe (2) • Disconnect charge pressure sensor wiring harness plug (3) • Unclip 2 power steering lines (4) • Release 2x clamp (1)
- 4. Remove air intake hose (1) • Remove bolt (2) • Release 2x clamp
- 5. Detach top charge air connection pipe (1) • Unscrew 2x bolt (2)
- 6. Raise vehicle by its entire height
- 7. Remove secondary air system pump (4) • Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) • Detach 2 secondary air hoses (1) – Undo 2 quick-release fittings • Unclip coolant hose • Separate cable tie • Unscrew 2x bolt (3)
- 8. Detach charge air hose (1) from intercooler and charge air connection pipe (3) • Release 2x clamp (4) • Remove bolt (2) • Remove charge air connecting pipe
- 9. Remove knock sensor for cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) • Remove bolt (2)
- 10. Install knock sensor for cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Tighten bolt 23 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
- 11. Replace charge air connection pipe
- 12. Attach charge air connection pipe to bottom of AC compressor • Tighten bolt 8 Nm
- 13. Attach charge air hose to intercooler and charge air connection pipe • Tighten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
- 14. Install secondary air system pump • Attach cable ties • Clip coolant hose into bracket • Fasten 2 quick-release fittings • Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
- 15. Lower vehicle by its entire height
- 16. Attach charge air connection pipe at top • Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm
- 17. Install upper air intake pipe • Tighten bolt 1.5 Nm • Tighten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
- 18. Install upper charge air pipe • Tighten clamp on top of intake manifold 3.5 Nm • Tighten clamp on charge air connection pipe (8) 3.5 Nm
- 19. Connect battery.
- 20. Program volatile memories
- 21. Close bonnet
