Replace Crankshaft Sensor Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery.
3. 3. Raise vehicle by its entire height
4. 4. Place collecting basin underneath.
5. 5. Drain coolant • Attach a suitable hose to the drain connection • Open drain bolt (arrow) • Drain coolant • Close drain bolt

Important. Secure the flexible part of the exhaust pipe to prevent it from sagging

6. 6. Detach exhaust system from catalytic converter • Unscrew 3x nut (1)

7. 7. Detach 2 pre-catalytic converter brackets (1) • Unscrew 4x bolt

8. 8. Remove coolant hose (1) from coolant pipe • Open quick-release fitting

9. 9. Expose wiring harness
10. 10. Detach heat shield (1) • Unscrew 2x bolt (2)

11. 11. Remove crankshaft sensor • Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) • Remove bolt (2)

Install

12. 12. Install crankshaft sensor • Tighten bolt 10 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
13. 13. Attach heat shield • Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm • Clip in cable ties
14. 14. Route wiring harness
15. 15. Attach coolant line hose • Push on • Close retainer
16. 16. Attach bracket to left exhaust system • Tighten 2x bolt
17. 17. Attach exhaust system at front • Insert new gasket • Tighten 3x nut 20 Nm
18. 18. Attach pre-catalytic converter bracket • Tighten 2 bolts on exhaust pipe flange 20 Nm • Tighten 2x bolt on oil pan 20 Nm
19. 19. Lower vehicle by its entire height
20. 20. Connect battery.
21. 21. Program volatile memories
22. 22. Top up and bleed cooling system
23. 23. Close bonnet
