Carbon Brushes, Replace

Starter removed and disassembled.

Recommended if length falls below 13 mm / 0.55 in. (Bosch starter) or 7 mm / 0.28 in. (Delco - Remy starter).

Unsolder carbon brushes from brush holder plate.

tiff;; Install, Connect

Solder carbon brushes.

Hold flex with flat nose pliers, to prevent solder from running up flex.
