Pull out test.
Connect solenoid switch to battery - negative cable to starter terminal M (1) and positive cable to starter terminal S (2). Coil is satisfactory if pinion ejects.
Hold in test.
Pinion should remain ejected when negative cable is disconnected from starter terminal M (1).
Return test.
| Disconnect positive cable. Pinion should return immediately when positive cable is disconnected. | |||
