Vacuum pump - see corresponding operation.

Vanes for excessive wear, damage or abrasions.

Replace all four vanes if any are found unserviceable.

Rotor and housing for excessive wear, damage or abrasions.

Replace pump if found unserviceable.

Check valve for operation - use screwdriver to operate valve (arrowed) from side 'B'.

Check valve for leaks - apply 150 kPa / 1.5 bar to side 'A'; no leaks at side 'B'.

Alternator pivot bolt - 40 Nm / 30 lbf ft.

Alternator adjuster lock nut - 19 Nm / 14 lbf ft.
