Checking Program EGR

Test Instructions

· Be sure that during measurements all other current consumers are switched off (including the interior lights).

· Take measurements between the terminals stated in the troubleshooting with the relevant adapter cables from the Electronic Kit I KM - 609.

· When connecting the adapter cables do not use force.

· When checking, the specified sequence of test steps must be followed exactly.

· If at any step the desired nominal value is not reached for a test step, the fault must be eliminated before the next test step is undertaken.

· When using the multimeter, note that the correct range specified in the test steps must always be set before connection of the measuring leads.

· The nominal values given in the troubleshooting are only valid if the multimeter MKM - 587 - A is used.

· If in the checking program all nominal values are attained and the EGR system is not functioning as described in the function check (chapter 9.2.1) the control unit K135 must be replaced.
