Function Check CSD
Before commencing the check as specified in the Checking Program (see section 7.2.2) first check whether the CSD system is functioning properly.
· Start engine.
· Parking brake applied.
· With the engine warm, vary accelerator pedal between idle speed and half load and disconnect wiring harness plug from coolant temperature switch.
As a result, an increase of engine knock should be audible.
This means that the CSD is active.
