Multec- S X 14 XE / X 16 XE(L) F2:TROUBLE CODES

· Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 4 s

Replacement value:

· RON 91 characteristic cell

Effects:

· The knock control is switched off

· The control unit tests the knock module under certain operating conditions:

he firing angles for cylinders 2 and 3 are advances 20 times by 0.7 °CA each time. The knock module must recognise at least one knock event.

· Following trouble codes not stored: 14, 15, 33, 34

· RON 91 characteristic cell not activated

· Engine speed lower than 5000 rpm

· Coolant temperature higher than 85 °C/185 °F but lower than 104 °C/219 °F

· Contents of long- term correction for active knock cell is 0 °CA

· Intake manifold absolute pressure lower than 9.8 Pa (98 mbar)

· Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 15 s

· RON 91 characteristic cell

Effects:

· The knock control is switched off

Note:

If trouble code 18 has been recognised, carry out the following instructions:

· Disconnect battery;

· Reconnect battery;

· Erase trouble code and read out trouble codes again;

· If trouble code 18 occurs again: check that knock module is correctly seated in base, if necessary, replace knock module;

· Erase trouble code and read out trouble codes again;
