The integrator can be used to evaluate the air/fuel mixture correction.

If, for example, the air fuel mixture is too lean, the integrator value and thus the injection period are increased until the oxygen sensor signals that the mixture is too rich. The integrator value is then reduced, decreasing the injection period until the oxygen sensor displays that the mixture is too lean (closed loop).

O2 INTEGRATOR = 128 means · stochiometric air / fuel ratio approx. 14.7 kg air to 1 kg fuel (l=1)

· The loop is opened by the engine control unit if a fault occurs or if the conditions for closed loop have not yet been fulfilled.

O2 INTEGRATOR lower than 128 means · air / fuel mixture too rich, injection period is decreased

O2 INTEGRATOR higher than 128 means · air / fuel mixture too lean, injection period is increased

· To be able to evaluate a change in the O2 INTEGRATOR, the value of the TECH 1 data list no. 33 O2 BLM CELL CONT in conjunction with TECH 1 data list no. 32 O2 BLM CELL NO. 18 or 19 at idle speed or 0 to 15 at partial load/full load must also be observed.

· Erase trouble codes

O2 INTEGRATOR higher than 160 and O2 BLM CELL CONT lower than 128: Wait until the system has stabilised itself

(a few minutes).

O2 INTEGRATOR higher than 160 and O2 BLM CELL CONT higher than 150: Remedy according to data list no. 27 O2 SENSOR Part 4, mixture constantly too lean (oxygen sensor voltage lower than 350 mV)

O2 INTEGRATOR lower than 100 and O2 BLM CELL CONT higher than 128: Wait until the system has stabilised itself

(a few minutes).

O2 INTEGRATOR lower than 100 and O2 BLM CELL CONT lower than 106: Remedy according to data list no. 27 O2 SENSOR
