F0:DATA LIST
| No. | Tech 1 Display | Conditions for checking | Nominal value | Trouble Codes | Terminal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 04 | SIM. FULL POS. SW | · Ignition "ON" |
· Engine running at idle speed
| · Throttle valve CLOSED (accelerator pedal in idle position) | INACTIVE | 21, 22 | 53, 12, 30 |
|---|---|---|---|
| · Actuate accelerator pedal slightly | INACTIVE | ||
| · Depress accelerator pedal briefly to full load stop (accelerate fully) | ACTIVE |
Note:
In test steps 03 (SIM. IDLE POS. SW) and 04 (Sim. Full Pos. Sw), the Motronic control unit uses the throttle valve potentiometer signal to calculate a simulation for the throttle valve switch idle and full load contacts.
The Motronic control unit needs this information for the idle air control (SIM. IDLE pos. sw) and for the full load enrichment and oxygen sensor control CUTOFF (SIM. FULL POS. SW).
