Features Specific to this System
The Motronic M 1.5.4 system is equipped with self - diagnosis. This means:
If the Motronic M 1.5.4 control unit recognises a system fault, it is stored after a certain period of time. The engine telltale in the instrument illuminates whenever trouble codes are stored.
Note:
The Motronic M 1.5.4 permits readout of measured values while travelling.
For this, the snapshot mode (key F3) must be activated.
This allows sporadic faults (e. g. loose contacts) to be detected.
Important:
Trouble codes can only be deleted using TECH 1.
After completion of diagnosis with TECH 1, the ignition must be switched "OFF" at least once.
