The electronic control unit for the Motronic M 1.5.4 is located in the driver's side footwell behind the trim panel.
The control unit functions of the Motronic M 1.5.4 correspond on the whole to those of the Motronic M 1.5.2.
The functions for the direct ignition system (DlS), the knock control and the EGR system have been integrated into the control unit and the block learn method cells have been adapted.
