Note:
The tendency (rich or lean mixture) of the oxygen sensor regulation can be evaluated with the O2 INTEGRATOR.
If, for example, the intake fuel/air mixture is too lean (actual value > 148 steps) the value of the O2 INTEGRATOR is increased in steps until the oxygen sensor signals "mixture too rich". The O2 INTEGRATOR now starts to reduce its value again. This regulation is necessary to obtain an optimal reduction of the toxic substances in the catalytic converter.
Actual value 108 to 148 steps = Nominal range
Actual value < 108 steps = System gets leaner, mixture too rich
Actual value > 148 steps = System gets richer, mixture too lean
In order to be able to evaluate a deviation (above or below the tolerance range) in the O2 INTEGRATOR, the O2 BLM IDLE THR. and O2 BLM PART THR. must be consulted. If the O2 INTEGRATOR is outside the tolerance range, monitor the O2 BLM IDLE THR. and O2 BLM PART THR..
If the O2 BLM IDLE THR. and O2 BLM PART THR. continue to display a steady value outside the tolerance, an evaluation of the O2 INTEGRATOR can be carried out.
