Note:

On the C 30 SE engine, the TRAN.OIL TEMP.SW is laid out as a separate plug connection in the wiring harness.

This plug connection can be used, if grounded, to increase the idle speed.

In the Vectra/Cavalier Four Wheel Drive, the TRAN.OIL TEMP.SW is grounded in the wiring harness. This increases the idle speed.

In all other versions, the shift output in the wiring harness is unoccupied.

If, in spite of this, the terminal for TRAN.OIL TEMP.SW is connected to ground, the idle speed is increased.

Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

· Remove control unit plug

cable cover Ter. 47 (MY '90) or Ter. 49 (MY '89) · Short circuit to ground

· Ignition ON open: 12V · Control unit defective

· Check Ter. 47 (MY '90) or Ter. 49

(MY '89) optically and with multimeter
