Remove and Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Opel Combo C

Remove

  1. 1. Disconnect battery • Disconnect earth cable
  2. 2. Disconnect wiring harness plug of engine control unit (2) • Release 3x (arrows) • Unclip wiring harness (1)
  1. 3. Remove air intake hose (1) • Release 2x clamp
  1. 4. Release air intake pipe (1) • Unclip wiring harness • Unscrew 2 x bolts • Detach engine vent hose
  1. 5. Remove charge air pipe (1) • Unscrew 2 stud bolts, bolt • Unscrew 2 bolts, nut, stud bolt • Remove 2x gasket

Note. Charge air pipe is not removed.

  1. 6. Detach 2 wiring harness brackets
  2. 7. Detach coolant hose
  3. 8. Detach upper radiator hose • from thermostat housing cover
  4. 9. Remove EGR port (1) • Disconnect wiring harness plug • Unscrew 2 lower bolts • Detach EGR cooler – Unscrew 2 x bolts

Install

Important. Seal ring (1) must not shift during installation.

  1. 10. Install EGR port • Replace gasket, seal ring • 5 bolts on thermostat housing 24 Nm • 2 bolts on EGR cooler 28.5 Nm

Note. Note differing bolt lengths.

  1. 11. Install charge air pipe (1) • Replace 2x gasket • Stud bolt, bolt 24.5 Nm • 2 bolts, nut, stud bolt 24.5 Nm • Attach wiring harness bracket – 2 nuts
  1. 12. Attach coolant hose
  2. 13. Attach upper radiator hose • to thermostat housing cover
  3. 14. Attach 2 wiring harness brackets
  4. 15. Fasten air intake pipe (1) • 2 bolts 14.5 Nm • Attach engine vent hose
  1. 16. Attach air intake hose (1)
  1. 17. Close coolant drain bolt
  2. 18. Fill and bleed cooling system
  3. 19. Connect wiring harness plug of engine control unit (2) • Engage 3x (arrows) • Clip in wiring harness (1)
  1. 20. Connect battery • Attach earth cable
  2. 21. Program volatile memory
