How to Replace the Right Hand Engine Damping Block Opel Combo C

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Remove air cleaner housing
  3. 3. Loosen front wheel • Loosen 4 bolts
  4. 4. Raise vehicle • Half way up
  5. 5. Remove front wheel
  6. 6. Raise vehicle
  7. 7. Remove lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
  8. 8. Attach KM-6394 • Position KM-6394 (1) at the front on the front axle body • Push front bracket (2) in the direction of the arrow • Place rear bracket (4), right hand side, on front axle body • Attach rear bracket (3), left hand side – Screw in 2x bolt • Tighten 6 bolts

Note. Both locating pins (arrows) must be seated in the bores in the front axle body.

  1. 9. Install support • On KM-6394 – Adjust bracket (2) for support • Screw on nut (1)
  2. 10. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine timing side – Insert journal of the support in the bore of the cylinder block free of play (arrow) – Tighten nuts (1)

Note. Turn spindles until mounts (3) are positioned at the guide journals free of play.

  1. 11. Lower vehicle
  2. 12. Remove right engine damping block • Release engine bracket adapter – Unscrew 2 bolts (1) • Loosen engine damping block – Unscrew 2 bolts (2)

Install

  1. 13. Install right engine damping block • Fasten engine bracket adapter – Tighten 2 new bolts 60 Nm + 30° - 45° • Fasten engine damping block – Tighten 2 bolts 40 Nm
  2. 14. Raise vehicle
  3. 15. Detach support
  4. 16. Detach KM-6169-1
  5. 17. Install lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
  6. 18. Lower vehicle • Half way up
  7. 19. Attach front wheel • Screw in 4 bolts
  8. 20. Lower vehicle
  9. 21. Secure front wheel • Tighten 4 bolts 110 Nm
  10. 22. Install air cleaner housing
  11. 23. Close bonnet
