Remove
- 1. Remove timing case
Important. After the bracket has been removed the accumulator must not be subjected to any external force that would cause damage to the high pressure lines.
- 2. Remove the accumulator bracket • Detach accumulator from bracket – Unscrew 2 bolts (1) • Remove the accumulator bracket – Unscrew 3 bolts (2) – Remove engine transport shackle
- 3. Detach hydraulic chain tensioner (1) • Secure chain tensioner – Release in the direction of the arrow • Use KM-955 • Unscrew 2 bolts
- 4. Detach timing chain tension rail (3) • Remove bolt
- 5. Remove timing chain (2) • With crankshaft sprocket
- 6. Cleaning work
Install
- 7. Position timing chain • Position timing chain with crankshaft sprocket
Important. The plane-parallel faces (contact pressure) must be free from oil and grease.
- 8. Attach timing chain tension rail • Bolt 9 Nm
- 9. Attach hydraulic chain tensioner • Tighten 2 bolts 9 Nm • Remove KM-955
- 10. Install accumulator bracket • Insert accumulator bracket with engine transport shackle – Tighten 3 bolts 25 Nm • Attach accumulator to bracket – Tighten 2x bolts 25 Nm
- 11. Install timing case
