How to Replace the Timing Chain Sliding Rail Opel Combo C

Remove

  1. 1. Remove timing case

Important. After the bracket has been removed the accumulator must not be subjected to any external force that would cause damage to the high pressure lines.

  1. 2. Remove the accumulator bracket • Detach accumulator from bracket – Unscrew 2 bolts (1) • Remove the accumulator bracket – Unscrew 3 bolts (2) – Remove engine transport shackle
  1. 3. Release the tension on the hydraulic chain tensioner • Secure chain tensioner • Use KM-955
  2. 4. Detach timing chain sliding rail (1) • Unscrew 2 bolts (2)
  1. 5. Cleaning work

Install

  1. 6. Attach timing chain sliding rail • Tighten 2 bolts 9 Nm
  2. 7. Tension hydraulic chain tensioner • Remove KM-955
  3. 8. Install accumulator bracket • Insert accumulator bracket with engine transport shackle – Tighten 3 bolts 25 Nm • Attach accumulator to bracket – Tighten 2x bolts 25 Nm
  4. 9. Attach timing case
