Remove
- 1. Remove piston with con-rod
Important. Do not damage piston and con-rod. Use protective jaws.
- 2. Clamp piston (1) with con-rod (3) in vice
- 3. Remove 2x piston pin (2) retaining rings
- 4. Remove piston pin (4) • Push piston pin out of piston and con-rod by hand • Take piston out
Install
Important. When assembling the piston and con-rod, note the cut-out in the piston (2) and the mark (1) on the con-rod
- 5. Install piston pin • Place piston with pin on con-rod • Push piston pin in until annular groove is freely accessible.
Note. Wet piston pin with engine oil. Push piston pin into the piston by hand until the con-rod can be inserted.
- 6. Install 2x piston pin retaining rings • Replace 2x retaining ring • Insert 2x retaining ring in annular groove
Note. Note position of the ring joint. Ring joint must be in the area of measurement I (maximum 30°).
- 7. Adjust 3x piston ring • Arrange joints offset by 120°
- 8. Remove piston with con-rod from vice
- 9. Install piston with con-rod
