Top Up and Bleed Cooling System Opel Meriva A

  1. 1. Open cooling system Warning: The cooling system is under pressure. • Unscrew cover of coolant compensation tank
  2. 2. Top up coolant • Coolant compensation tank – The coolant compensation tank should be overfilled to the filler neck when: The engine is emptied and/or Radiator is emptied and/or The heater is emptied – In the case of work on the cooling system that does not require the above components to be emptied, fill the coolant compensation tank up to the FRIO/COLD mark.
  1. 3. Close cooling system • Close cover of coolant compensation tank

Important. Vehicles with air conditioning: switch off air conditioning and/or set ECC to ECO mode (if available).

  1. 4. Start engine and allow to run • Then run the engine for approx. 2 minutes at 2500 - 3000 rpm. The air in the engine will then be fed off via the exhaust pipe.

Note. Allow engine to warm up while idling to a max. 2500 rpm until thermostat is sufficiently opened (until the 1st cooler blower stage turns off).

  1. 5. Switch off engine • Allow engine to cool.
  2. 6. Check coolant level • Coolant compensation tank

Note. To marking FRIO/COLD – top up coolant if necessary
