Check Compression Pressure Opel Meriva A

Note. Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature >= 80 °C).

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Remove engine cover. • Unscrew 2x bolt (1) • Remove oil filler cap (2)

3. 3. Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) from ignition module (3)
4. 4. Detach ignition module from cylinder head cover • Unscrew 2x bolt • Remove from spark plugs using KM-6009 (1)
5. 5. Remove spark plugs with KM-194-E
6. 6. Open throttle valve using TECH II • Use "compression test" program (TECH II)

7. 7. Use compression plotter with a measuring range of 1750 kPa (17.5 bar)
8. 8. Operate starter for approx. 4 seconds • Minimum engine speed 300 rpm
9. 9. The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).

Install

10. 10. Install spark plugs using KM-194-E 25 Nm
11. 11. Attach ignition module to cylinder head cover • Attach to spark plugs • Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm
12. 12. Connect ignition module wiring harness plug
13. 13. Install engine cover. • Tighten 2 bolts
