Check Oil Pump Opel Meriva A

  1. 1. Remove oil pump • Remove oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install"
  2. 2. Disassemble oil pump • Detach oil pump cover (2) – Unscrew 5 bolts • Remove inner and outer rotor
  3. 3. Remove oil pump pressure regulating valve • Remove bolt (1) • Remove piston spring
  4. 4. Visually check part • Visually check 8x parts – Oil pump housing, inner and outer rotor, oil pump cover, oil pump pressure regulating valve, pistons, springs, pins

Note. Check for trapping.

  1. 5. Check oil pump • Insert inner and outer rotor • Measure gap – With straightedge (3), feeler gauge (4) • Remove inner and outer rotor

Important. The bevel running around the outside edge of the outer rotor must face the oil pump housing.

Note. The permissible clearance between rotors and oil pump housing upper edge is 0.03 to 0.10 mm

  1. 6. Install oil pump pressure regulating valve • Replace seal ring • Insert piston spring – Coat with engine oil • Tighten bolt – Tightening torque 50 Nm
  2. 7. Assemble oil pump • Insert inner and outer rotor – Coat with engine oil • Attach oil pump cover – Tighten 5 bolts – Tightening torque 6 Nm

Important. The bevel running around the outside edge of the outer rotor must face the oil pump housing.

  1. 8. Install oil pump • Install oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install"
