Replace Left Engine Damping Block Opel Meriva A

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet

Important. In vehicles with ESP - the steering angle sensor loses its basic settings every time the battery is disconnected and has to be recalibrated.

  1. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach ground cable
  2. 3. Remove battery • Detach plus cable • Remove battery bracket – Remove bolt
  3. 4. Remove battery support. • Unscrew 4x bolts (arrows)
  1. 5. Raise vehicle
  2. 6. Detach ribbed V-belt cover • Unscrew 3 bolts (1) • Remove body-bound rivet (arrow)
  1. 7. Attach KM-6394 (1) • Attach KM-6394 to left of front axle body – Slide brackets (2) and (3) inwards as far as they will go • Attach KM-6394 to right of front axle body – Slide bracket (4) from inside to outside as far as it will go – Slide bracket (5) from outside to inside as far as it will go • Tighten 8 bolts
  1. 8. Insert locating pins (1) upwards into front axle body • Install 2x securing split pins
  1. 9. Install support • To KM-6394 – Adjust bracket (2) for support • Screw on nut (1)
  2. 10. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine timing side – Tighten nuts (1)

Note. Turn spindles until mounts (3) are positioned at the guide journals free of play.

Note. Insert journal of the support in the bore of the cylinder block without play (arrow).

  1. 11. Lower vehicle
  2. 12. Detach left engine damping block • Unscrew 2x bolts (1)
  3. 13. Remove left-hand transmission bracket • Unscrew 3 bolts (arrows)
  4. 14. Remove left engine damping block • Unscrew 4x bolts (2)

Install

  1. 15. Install left engine damping block • Tighten 4x bolts – Tightening torque 25 Nm
  2. 16. Install left-hand transmission bracket • Tighten 3x bolts – Tightening torque 60 Nm
  3. 17. Install left engine damping block • Tighten 2 bolts – Tightening torque 80 Nm + 60°- 75°
  4. 18. Install battery holder • Tighten 4x bolts • Attach ground distributor – Tighten bolt • Attach positive distributor – Tighten bolt • Attach wiring harness
  5. 19. Install battery • Connect holder – Tighten bolt • Attach positive cable • Attach cover
  6. 20. Raise vehicle
  7. 21. Detach engine timing side support
  8. 22. Remove KM-6394 • Undo 8x bolts
  9. 23. Attach ribbed V-belt cover • Screw in 3 bolts • Install clip
  10. 24. Lower vehicle
  11. 25. Connect battery
  12. 26. Calibrate steering angle sensor • Turn on ignition

Note. Turn the steering wheel once from the right stop to left stop.

  1. 27. Program volatile memory
  2. 28. Close bonnet
