How to Replace the Engine Damping Blocks Opel Meriva A

  1. 1. Use of special tools:

Note. When replacing the left and right engine damping blocks, the engine must be supported with KM-6394 .

  1. 2. Raise vehicle
  2. 3. Remove right engine splash guard
  1. 4. Attach KM-6394 (1) • Position KM-6394 on left on front axle body – Push brackets (2) and (3) inwards to the stop • Position KM-6394 on right on front axle body – Push bracket (4) from the inside outwards to the stop – Push bracket (5) from the outside inwards to the stop • Tighten 8 bolts
  2. 5. Insert dowel pins (1) upwards into front axle body • Install 2x split pin retainers
  1. 6. Install support • To KM-6394 – Adjust bracket (2) for support • Screw on nut (1)
  2. 7. Install 3x supports • Transmission side • Engine timing side – Tighten nuts (1)

Note. Turn spindles until mounts (3) are positioned at the guide journals free of play.

Note. Insert support journals in cylinder block hole free of play (arrow)

  1. 8. Lower vehicle
  2. 9. Replace Engine Damping Block, Left and/or Engine Damping Block, Right
  3. 10. Raise vehicle
  4. 11. Detach engine timing side support
  5. 12. Remove KM-6394 • Undo 8x bolts
  6. 13. Attach ribbed V-belt cover • Screw in 3x bolt • Install clip
  7. 14. Lower vehicle
