With the launch of the Corsa-D comes also the new Z 17 DTR diesel engine.
The main changes to the new generation of 1.7 litre diesel engines are as follows:
- Cylinder head
- The vacuum pump is driven by the camshaft.
- Valve clearance is adjusted by changing the bucket tappets.
- EGR cooler with vacuum-controlled bypass valve for bypassing the EGR cooler in the warm-up phase.
- The rail is located above the intake manifold (better access for service operations).
- New EGR valve (adopted from the Z 30 DT diesel engine).
- Intake pipe
