How to Check the Compression Opel Corsa D

Remove

1. 1. Open driver's door

2. 2. Prevent injection with TECH II • Remove cover (1) • Remove protective cap (2) • Connect TECH II (3) to the base
3. 3. Remove sheathed glow plugs

Inspect

4. 4. Attach compression plotter cylinder 1 to cylinder 1 • Attach compression plotter to EN-49478

Note. Use compression plotter with a measuring range of 10 - 40 bar.

Note. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.

5. 5. Check cylinder 1 compression • Start the engine for about 4 seconds

Note. Use a second person

Note. Engine speed at least 200 rpm.

6. 6. Remove compression plotter with EN-49478 from cylinder 1
7. 7. Repeat test process on cylinders 2, 3 and 4
8. 8. Compare compression values • Maximum pressure difference: 1.5 bar

Install

9. 9. Install sheathed glow plugs
10. 10. Detach TECH II • Detach TECH II from base • Attach protective cap • Fit cover
11. 11. Close driver's door
