Replace Timing Chain Opel Corsa D

DOHC Diesel Engine 5 illustrations ~165 words

Remove

1. Remove timing case
2. Remove hydraulic chain tensioner • Tension hydraulic chain tensioner – Lock in pre-tensioned position with KM-955 (1) • Unscrew 2x bolts (2)

Replace Timing Chain

3. Remove timing chain tension rail • Unscrew bolt (1)

Replace Timing Chain

4. Remove timing chain sliding rail (2) • Unscrew 2x bolts (1)

Replace Timing Chain

5. Slacken camshaft drive gear • Unscrew bolt • Counterhold with KM-6347 (1) and KM-956-1 (2) on camshaft drive gear

Replace Timing Chain

6. Remove timing chain (1) with camshaft drive gear and crankshaft drive gear

Replace Timing Chain

Install

7. Insert timing chain with camshaft drive gear and crankshaft drive gear
8. Fasten camshaft drive gear • Tighten bolt 150 Nm • Counterhold with KM-6347 and KM-956-1 on camshaft drive gear
9. Install timing chain sliding rail • Tighten 2x bolt 9 Nm
10. Install timing chain tension rail • Tighten bolt 9 Nm
11. Install hydraulic chain tensioner • Tighten 2x bolt 9 Nm • Tension hydraulic chain tensioner – Remove KM-955
12. Install timing case
