Remove and Install Coolant Pump Opel Corsa D

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Unscrew coolant expansion tank closure cap
  3. 3. Raise vehicle by its full height
  4. 4. Detach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if necessary
  5. 5. Drain coolant • Place collecting basin underneath. • Open drain bolt on radiator (1) • Collect coolant – Use hose (2) • Close drain bolt
  1. 6. Release coolant pump drive gear (1) • Undo 3x bolts
  1. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt • Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner via bolt (1) in the direction of the arrow • Fix ribbed V-belt tensioner at bore (2) with KM-6130 • Remove ribbed-V-belt

Note. Mark direction of rotation

  1. 8. Remove coolant pump drive gear • Unscrew 3x bolts
  2. 9. Remove coolant pump (1) • Unscrew 5x bolts

Install

  1. 10. Clean sealing surfaces.
  2. 11. Install coolant pump • Replace seal • Tighten 5x bolts 24 Nm
  3. 12. Install coolant pump drive gear • Screw in 3 bolts
  4. 13. Insert ribbed V-belt • Position ribbed V-belt – I. Ribbed V-belt without air conditioning – II. Ribbed V-belt with air conditioning • Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner via bolt (1) in the direction of the arrow – Remove KM-6130

Note. Observe direction of rotation

  1. 14. Fasten coolant pump drive gear • Tighten 3x bolt 16 Nm
  2. 15. Install lower right engine compartment cover and engine splash protector if necessary
  3. 16. Lower vehicle by its full height
  4. 17. Fill and bleed cooling system
  5. 18. Close bonnet
