· Short circuit to battery voltage in signal lead of mass air flow meter

(Ter.3 on plug of mass air flow meter)

If trouble code 74 was recognized, the control unit calculates for the load signal with a replacement characteristic curve dependent on the engine speed and throttle valve angle. If the throttle valve potentiometer is also defective, the following replacement values are used for calculation:

For engine speed < 1520 rpm with load signal 2.0 ms For engine speed > 1520 rpm with load signal 4.5 ms
