SIGNAL VOLTAGE

LOW17· Ignition/injection cutoff signal from TC (Traction Control) control unit is present for longer than 0.2 s

· Full load prohibition signal from TC (Traction Control) control unit is not once recognized during this period

(short circuit to ground or interruption)

or

· Ignition/injection cutoff signal from TC (Traction Control) control unit has a short circuit to battery voltage.

Note:

After each engine start, the Motronic control unit monitors inputs Ter. 38 (full load prohibition) and Ter. 50

(ignition/injection cutoff).

The TC control unit sends test signals to these inputs.

If the Motronic control unit receives both or neither of these test signals, this is evaluated as "TC OK". If only one test signal is recognized, the other test signal is evaluated as being faulty and the telltale is switched on.

Replacement value:

The full load prohibition signal is ignored by the control unit.
