19INCORRECT RPM SIGNAL21, 22· The control unit did not recognise 58 teeth pulses between the synchronising marks on the crankshaft pulley

· The time in which a tooth gap was recognised is not plausible

· If trouble code 19 and an engine speed higher than 8000 rpm were recognised, trouble code 92 (camshaft fault) is also stored

(short circuit to ground or circuit interruption)

(short circuit of signal lead to oscillator lead)

(loose contact in signal leads)

· Conditions must be fulfilled for at least 3.5 s

Replacement values:

Camshaft emergency operation:

· The crankshaft position, engine speed and firing angle output are calculated from the camshaft signal

· The engine speed is limited to 4512 rpm

Effects:

· If trouble code 92 is stored in addition to trouble code 19, injection and ignition are blocked

Note:

Emergency operation remains active until next ignition OFF.
