Engine Management System- Simtec 56.1 General Instructions Opel Calibra I

Engine Management System - Simtec 56.1 (X 20 XEV)

General Information

Protect oxygen sensor from fuel and silicone. Do not clean or bring oxygen sensor in contact with fuel.

Do not apply underbody protection to catalytic converter or oxygen sensor or to areas in their immediate vicinity.

Leaks (dead air) in intake and exhaust systems - in front of the catalytic converter can cause incorrect measurements by the oxygen sensor. Leaks in the fuel evaporation control system can cause irregular idling.

Before removing electrical/electronic components, disconnect ground lead from battery. Disconnecting the battery causes trouble codes present in the memory to be erased.
