SIMTEC 56.1 Engine Management System
The SIMTEC 56.1 engine management system is a development of the SIMTEC 56, which was used for the first time in the Astra - E with the C 18 XE engine. The SIMTEC 56 engine management system was described in detail in the "Product Description, Model Year 1993 1 / 2" brochure,
The following modifications for the SIMTEC 56.1 engine management system are described in detail in the "Product Description, Omega - B, Part 2" brochure:
- Data memory expansion by 16 kB
- EGR system
- Secondary air injection
- Coupled fuel pump relay replaced by two independent relays
- Improved oxygen sensor control with resistance sensor instead of voltage sensor
