Crankshaft Seal Ring, Front, Replace

Timing belt covers and timing belt - see corresponding operations.
Align camshaft and fuel injection pump timing gears with timing marks and secure with lock bolts.
Crankshaft timing gear - use KM - J - 8614 - 01.

Oil seal - use Installer KM - 8069 (arrowed).
Apply engine oil to seal lip before attaching seal to sleeve of Installer then screw onto end of crankshaft. Tighten centre bolt (1) until sleeve touches front end of crankshaft. Remove sleeve and check oil seal protrusion is within limit - 0.9 " 0.3 mm.
Crankshaft timing gear - use KM - J - 8614 - 01.
