Turn crankshaft until con - rod bearing cap to be replaced is at bottom dead centre.
Con - rod bearing cap - two bolts.
Identify con - rod bearing shell.

New bearing shells - insert with engine oil.
| Con - rod bearing cap - apply engine oil to threads and contact surfaces of con - rod cap bolts; align number etched on cap (arrowed) with same number (arrowed) on con - rod. | |||

Con - rod cap bolts - 29 Nm / 21 lbf ft plus 60o.

Make sure crankshaft turns smoothly.
