Engine Speed Sensor
The engine speed sensor is an inductive pulse pick - up (1), which is mounted in the rear plate on the cylinder block.
The sensor scans four slots (2), which are machined in the periphery of the flywheel.
| The pulse signal from the sensor is used by the control unit to calculate the engine speed and the angular position of the crankshaft. | |||
