Turn crankshaft until con - rod bearing cap to be replaced is at bottom dead centre.
Con - rod bearing cap - mark, con - rod bearing shell.

Con - rod journal, con - rod bearing cap.

New bearing shells - insert with engine oil.
| Con - rod bearing cap - apply engine oil to threads and contact surfaces of big end nuts; align cylinder number etched on cap with same number arrowed on con - rod. | |||

Con - rod cap nuts - 83 Nm / 61 lbf ft.
