Frontera, Frontera Sport as of VIN VV600101 up to WV618755 for RHD and WV619445 for LHD:

Uneven engine speed on deceleration and - if equipped with air conditioning system - AC cut off due to too low coolant boiling protection operation.

Cause:

Incorrect calibration of electronic diesel control unit.

Production Solution:

Introduction of electronic diesel control units with revised software in production as of VIN WV618765 (RHD) and WV619445 (LHD).

Special part:

No

Remedy:

If complaint is evident, replace electronic diesel control unit.

Replace original electronic diesel control unit with new ECU in line with the existing service instructions.

The new electronic diesel control unit with revised software for both LHD and RHD vehicles can be identified by the software level code "28SA3639" printed in the top right corner of the code label as shown in T3677.
