Fuel Pressure Regulator Replacement Opel Agila B

Remove

  1. 1. Before performing ANY work on fuel system or its components, switch OFF ignition and wait until pressure has dropped sufficiently (approximately 30 seconds). This waiting period is absolutely essential for fuel rail to be depressurised
  2. 2. Disconnect battery negative lead • Release nut
  3. 3. Remove cover (1) from engine • Remove 4x bolt
  1. 4. Disconnect harness connector (1) from fuel pressure regulator (2) • Release harness connector lock
  2. 5. Place collecting container below
  3. 6. Remove fuel pressure regulator from common rail • Rotate anti-clockwise to release • Install new blanking plug to common rail
  4. 7. Remove O ring from fuel pressure regulator • Prise off

Install

  1. 8. Install new O ring to new fuel pressure regulator • Apply suitable lubricant to O ring, then slide on
  2. 9. Install fuel pressure regulator to common rail • Remove blanking plug from common rail • Rotate clockwise to secure 85 Nm
  3. 10. Remove collecting container
  4. 11. Connect harness connector (1) to fuel pressure regulator (2) • Secure lock
  1. 12. Install cover (1) to engine • Install 4x bolt 8 Nm
  1. 13. Connect battery negative lead • Secure nut 11 Nm
  2. 14. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”

Important. Air bleeding must be carried out when fuel system has been disassembled or when vehicle ran out of fuel.

  1. 15. Bleed fuel system • Turn ignition on for 5 seconds, then switch off • Repeat this 6 times then check engine starts
