Remove

  1. 1. Remove engine cover and reposition camshaft cover insulation • Remove 4x bolt
  2. 2. Disconnect fuel leak-off pipe from 4x fuel injector • Remove 4x spring clip
  3. 3. Install 4x protective cap to fuel leak-off pipe
  1. 4. Connect 4x hose of Leak-off Measurement Tool EN-47655 to 4x fuel injector leak-off port • Install 4x clip

Measure

  1. 5. Check fuel injector leak-off performance If vehicle starts: • Start engine and allow to idle • Stop engine when one container of Leak-off Measurement Tool EN-47655 is at maximum level (50 ml) • Check level of 4x container

Note. The maximum permissible leak-off quantity of any fuel injector is 3 times that of the fuel injector with the lowest leak-off quantity.

  1. 6. Check fuel injector leak-off performance If vehicle does not start: • Crank engine for 10 to 15 seconds • Check quantity of fuel in 4x hose of Leak-off Measurement Tool EN-47655

Important. Only repeat the cranking procedure if necessary; repeated cranking may damage the starter.

Note. The maximum permissible leak-off quantity of any fuel injector is 3 times that of the fuel injector with the lowest leak-off quantity.

Install

  1. 7. Disconnect 4x hose of Leak-off Measurement Tool EN-47655 from 4x fuel injector leak-off port • Remove 4x clip
  1. 8. Install fuel leak off pipe to 4x fuel injector • Remove 4x protective cap from 4x fuel leak-off pipe • Install 4x clip
  1. 9. Install engine cover to engine • Install 4x bolt
