Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement Opel Agila B

Remove

  1. 1. Before performing ANY work on fuel system or its components, switch OFF ignition and wait until pressure has dropped sufficiently (approximately 30 seconds). This waiting period is absolutely essential for fuel rail to be depressurised
  2. 2. Disconnect battery negative lead • Release nut
  3. 3. Remove cover (1) from engine • Remove 4x bolt
  1. 4. Remove bracket and insulation for cylinder head cover trim panelling from engine assembly • Remove 2x bolt (1)
  1. 5. Disconnect harness connector (1) from fuel pressure sensor (2) • Release harness connector lock
  2. 6. Place collecting container below
  3. 7. Remove fuel pressure sensor from common rail • Rotate anti-clockwise to release

Install

  1. 8. Install new fuel pressure sensor (2) to common rail • Rotate clockwise to secure 70 Nm
  2. 9. Remove collecting container
  3. 10. Connect harness connector (1) to fuel pressure sensor • Secure harness connector lock
  1. 11. Install bracket and insulation for cylinder head cover trim panelling to engine assembly • Install 2x bolt (1) 11 Nm
  1. 12. Install cover (1) to engine • Install 4x bolt 8 Nm
  1. 13. Connect battery negative lead • Secure nut 11 Nm
  2. 14. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”

Important. Air bleeding must be carried out when fuel system has been disassembled or when vehicle ran out of fuel.

  1. 15. Bleed fuel system • Turn ignition on for 5 seconds, then switch off • Repeat this 6 times then check engine starts
