Low Pressure Fuel Supply
The fuel in the fuel tank (1) is pumped to the high pressure fuel supply circuit (II) through the fuel filter (2) and the fuel heater (3) by the fuel pump (4) in the fuel tank. The fuel pump assembly (5) consists of a fuel pump (4) a fuel suction filter (6) and a fuel level sensor (7). The fuel pump is an in-tank type electric pump.
High Pressure Fuel Supply
The high pressure pump (8) is driven by engine rotation to produce high pressure fuel. The high pressure fuel is supplied to the fuel injection fuel rail assembly (9) through the high pressure fuel pipe. The fuel injectors (10) atomize the fuel in the cylinders. The fuel pressure regulator valve (13) regulates the fuel pressure in the common rail.
