The quick warming up system is operated by choking both the intake air and exhaust gasses to increase the engine temperature quickly.
Vacuum operated actuators are installed in inlet manifold and exhaust pipe and are utilized to operate internally built throttles.
The function of the throttle is to restrict intake air volume and also restrict exhaust gas passage to atmosphere. These combined restrictions lead to a choking effect on the engine, leading to increased engine temperature.
