Con-Rod Bushing Remove and Install Opel Campo I

Remove

Piston with con-rod - see operation "Piston with Con-rod Remove and Install".

Disassemble

Con-rod from piston assembly - see operation "Con-rod or Piston Replace".

Piston pin bush from con-rod - use suitable drift and bench press.

Assemble

Piston pin bush into con-rod - use suitable drift and bench press; align oil hole in bush with oil port in con-rod.

Ream piston pin bush to obtain clearance of 0.008-0.020 mm between piston pin and bush.

Apply clean engine oil to small end bush piston pin holes in piston and piston pin.

Assemble

Piston to con-rod - align front mark (arrowed) on piston with 'ISUZU' (arrowed) on con-rod push-in piston pin using fingers (illustration shows 4JG2T piston).

Assemble

Snap rings to piston - use pliers.

Inspect

Con-rod and piston for smooth movement.

Install

Piston with con-rod - see operation "Piston with Con-rod Remove and Install".
