Diesel Systems
A single control unit is now used to operate the diesel systems as follows:
· Quick on start preheating system.
· Quick warming up system.
· Exhaust gas recirculation system.
The control unit is different for each engine to take account of their characteristics.
| With the introduction of the diesel systems control unit, only one sensor (arrowed) is used by the system to monitor the engine coolant temperature. Blanking plugs are installed in the redundant ports of the thermostat housing. | |||
