Diesel Engine 4JA1
The 4JA1 diesel engine is a 4 cylinder, 2.5 litre water cooled unit with a cast iron block and cylinder head.
The overhead valves are operated by means of a camshaft, tappets, pushrods and rockers.
The fuel injection system is of the direct type and features a Bosch distributor VE type fuel pump.
A Quick - On Start system (QOS - II) is incorporated to ensure reliable starting and smooth running while warming up.
A Quick Warming up System (QWS) shortens the engine warm up time when starting from cold.
