Remove
Flywheel – see operation "Flywheel Remove and Install".
Inspect
Ring gear teeth for excessive wear and broken teeth; replace ring gear if necessary - see corresponding operation.
Friction surface for excessive wear and heat cracks.
Measure
Friction surface depth A.

Flywheel can be reground if depth does not exceed specified limit otherwise replace flywheel.
Surface roughness - less than 0.006 mm.
