Balancer Unit

The balancer unit familiar from the X 22 XE engine (Sintra) is now also used in the X 20 XEV engine in the Omega-B.

The balancer shafts in the balancer unit reduce secondary forces, improving the running smoothness of the engine.

An additional third oil baffle plate above the balancer shafts likewise has a positive effect on the engine's smoothness.

Air Cleaner and Intake System, X 20 Xev Engine

In the Omega-B with the X 20 XEV engine, noise reductions have been attained by improving the intake system. The following modifications have been made to the intake system:

• Acoustic resonator in air intake pipe
• Air oscillation attenuator in the upper part of the air cleaner housing
• Acoustic resonator in hose bends (pure air area)
