Piston, Y 22 Xe
The pistons of the Y 20 XE engine have been revised to reduce emissions. The height of the top land has therefore been reduced to 3.0 mm. The compression height remains unchanged at 30.4 mm. The piston weight has been reduced and the piston material improved.
The piston pin has been extended to reduce contact pressure.
In order to meet the piston requirements of the reduced height of the top land, the compression rings are produced in nitride steel at a height of 1.2 mm.
