How to Remove and Install the Coolant Temperature Sensor Opel Omega B

Note. The coolant temperature sensor is accessible from the underside of the vehicle.

Remove

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from coolant temperature sensor and unbolt coolant temperature sensor out of coolant flange (DIS ignition module adapter).

Coolant escapes – place collecting basin underneath.

Install

Bolt coolant temperature sensor with new seal ring into coolant flange (DIS ignition module adapter) – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.4 lbf. ft.

Connect ground cable to battery.

Top up and bleed cooling system – see operation "Cooling System, Top up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
